Evolution Hockey | Support Documentation

One of the advantages to living in the digital age is that we have access to many tools that “make the world smaller”.  These tools allow us to connect with players in ways that just weren’t possible a few years ago. But like many tools, there can be a learning curve. Here is a list of the tools we currently use and a step by step walkthrough on how to use them.

Drop Box

Do you want to have your game analyzed so you know what to work on? Maybe you want to take a closer look at the mechanics of your stride? Today we have access to Smartphones, GoPro’s and even traditional cameras. All of which are now capable of stunning high-resolution video that is great for learning and teaching. The challenge is that these videos take up a lot of space and using email to transfer them just won’t work.

For this reason, we use DropBox. DropBox is one of the most commonly used cloud platforms on the planet. We like it because it is easy to use, stable and works on all platforms.  For our players and parents, Drop Box  is a tool that you will use to send us videos. Below we have listed the basic steps you will need to follow in order to set up a drop box account and send us your videos.

STEP 1: Open a Drop Box Account. For guidance on how to do this please visit https://www.dropbox.com/en/help/8402 and learn more.

STEP 2: Login to your Drop Box and create a folder called “your_name) and then upload your video to that folder and share it with riley@evolutionhockey.ca. That way we will be able to identify who the video belongs to and review it accordingly. For more information on how to set up folders, configure properties and upload files, please visit the following link.

Survey Monkey

Our mental game surveys are administered using Survey Monkey. This allows us to store and track player responses and help us make decisions on which areas we may need to focus on as we move through the year. If you need any help using our Surveys, you can look through this support documentation
